Grimes
Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian music producer and singer. Her early work can be described as "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4which draws influences from hip-hop and electronic music, as well as rock. She often uses science fiction as well as feminist themes in her songs. Five studio albums have been released by her. Grimes was raised in Vancouver, and then moved to Montreal in the year 2000. Grimes started releasing her songs as a solo artist from the mid 2000s. two albums came out through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in the year 2010. The album was released in 2012 and Visions was her third studio album. The band was signed to 4AD. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and received the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. The album that she released as her fourth studio effort Art Angels was released in 2015. It was praised highly by critics and a variety of publications voted it the best album of the year. In 2020, she debuted Miss Anthropocene (her fifth studio album). Beyond the music industry, Grimes had a voice performance in the adventure role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge for the music competition game show Alter Ego.
